MV Werften’s administrator is offering a bargain deal, but so far there have been no takers

The administrator of MV Werften, once Genting Hong Kong’s German shipbuilding arm, estimates that any buyer of the partially completed mega-sized cruise newbuilding Global Dream will need to spend in the region of €700m ($712m) to complete the ship.

Christoph Morgen, in an interview with the German newspaper Die Welt, said that buying and completing the ship would probably cost any new owner of the 201,000-gt Global Dream around €1bn ($1.01m) in total, perhaps less if the German government would take over guarantees on loans.
